Traditional Welsh lovespoon necklace in sterling silver featuring a heart twist design from Celtic Treasure.

The lovespoon measures approx 20mm x 6mm and a 45cm sterling silver chain is included in the price.

The pendant is available with a mirror finish heart or a hammered/beaten finish heart.

The craft of lovespoon carving dates back to the 17th century. Young men would carve a spoon in wood to show their interest in a young lady. Designs included hearts (love & affection) teapots, houses (I will provide for you) and knotwork (eternal love/lives together).
