Feeling very Springlike

Traditional Welsh Jewellery, mens jewellery uk, welsh jewellery designers

Feeling very Springlike here at Celtic Treasure today. The garden has all sorts of activity going on. The pond has lots of tadpoles, blue tits are in and out of the nest boxes, lambs galore in the field next door. A new start for so many things and that seems to feel even more important this year after such a difficult time for so many reasons, for so many people.

Flowers always seem to help lift the mood and we have lots of colour here. Of course the daffodils are looking their sunny best, from big and tall to dinky, miniature ones. Grape hyachinths with their strong blue colour complimenting the daffs. We have a two -tone variety which is a bit different. Always beautiful are the native Primrose ( Primula vulgaris ). The Latin name seems a little unfortunate for such a pretty flower but the translation is common so appropriate as they are seen so often. Primrose is Prima Rosa, first rose even though they are not in the rose family.

The flowers are a source of jewellery ideas too. Some shapes work better than others. The best seller for us has been our Celtic Treasure daffodil. The first one was made forty years ago this year and it is still our most popular pattern. We use them in our earrings and pendants in various styles and in both gold and silver. Our daisy is also another popular design, again used in earrings and pendants.

Stuck for inspiration or ideas, usually having a look around outside or on a walk can very often spark a “make”……………
