Open again………

Traditional Welsh Jewellery, mens jewellery uk, welsh jewellery designers

Good morning on another gorgeous day from Celtic Treasure.

I thought this blog would be a good chance to highlight our stockists as they are once again open for business and will be very happy to see you.

We are incredibly lucky at Celtic Treasure to showcase our jewellery in some fabulous galleries and craft shops across North and Mid Wales. All feature work from many local artists and makers. Why not organise some craft tours, taking in a few shops and combining it with some beautiful Welsh scenery. The odd ice cream might come into it as well 😊

Here are a few ideas to start you off………more tour ideas to follow in the coming blogs and each of our stockists will also be featured in more depth.

A487 to Dolgellau and Celf Aran Arts https://www.facebook.com/CelfAranArts/

Carry on along the A487 to Machynlleth taking in the spectacular Talyllyn Pass and part of the Mach Loop. Always a bit unnerving to meet a jet coming up the valley. The natural reaction for me is still to duck as they approach!

Arriving in the market town of Machynlleth find the main shopping street and find https://www.facebook.com/OrielSeren/

A487 then A493 for Aberdyfi.

Once in Aberdyfi you’re looking for https://www.facebook.com/artworksaberdyfi/

Another tour could include Betws-Y-Coed https://www.facebook.com/aw2celf/

Then on to https://www.facebook.com/BodnantCraftCentre/

Conwy Castle is a popular sight and then carry on to Llandudno and https://www.facebook.com/wonderlandcardsandgifts/

Travel from Llandudno to Llanfairfechan and visit https://www.facebook.com/giftedcrafters/

More suggestions next blog.

Some new earrings have been added to the website, a smaller version of the Arthur’s Celtic knot pattern. Available as studs or drops in silver, approx 9mm in size and £20 a pair. A pendant will also be available shortly.

Plant news this month, so many making a lovely show in the garden at the moment. We especially like growing echiums. In flower at the moment are our Echium gentianoides plants. Unlike the massive biennial Echium pininana (our record so far is 14 foot) which self-seeds freely here, gentianoides is a true perennial. As it’s name suggests the flowers are a beautiful shade of gentian blue. Rare in the wild it’s found on one location in the Canary Islands. Even rarer in cultivation we managed to find seeds a few years ago and we find it tolerates mild winter frosts quite happily even though supposedly very tender. All the echiums are fabulous plants for bees, the pininana are “humming towers” when in flower!
